est. There is information about Tomas and Sytske in the forward of the Huizinga Stamboek. It lists the 10 children and says the 5 oldest

ones married perhaps before 1556. Katrina married in 1556, Eltje before 1567. These names and dates came from Fre Ellens on www.

.... +Sytske (Sytke) Tomes b: 1495 d: 1571 in Huizinge, Groningen, The Netherlands m: Bet. 1520 - 1530 Age at death: 76 est. Had 10

Huizinge. Abel Huizinga took us there in 1993 and I have a video of this place. He belonged to the Baptist church. His descendants are

listed in the Stamboek 1555 - 1883. That is where I found most of this information on these long ago ancestors. Derk Pieters & Katrina

Tomas are the parents of generation # 1 - Jacob Derks & Katrine Ritzes. Page I. In 2006, Melkema House is still there, present owners

are now running a restaurant and theatre in it. - per JL Bolhuis.

Baflo, The Netherlands. Stamboek said in 1585 he was a Leeraar der Doopsgezinden to Rasquert (Baflo). Stamboek also said "op de

plaats, later bewoond door Jacob Lippes {IV, 2,3}. This means "lived on the place later lived on by Jacob Lippes".

Maarhuizen/Winsum/Baflo are all within walking distance of each other.-per Robbie Huizinga Their children are listed in Generation II

in Stamboek Robbie Huizinga thought the word "Leeraar" can be translated minister or teacher in this sense as they both teach religion.

Page 14. Al Geurink writes that in 1811 Hendrik bought the Saaxumhuizen farm # 69a of his parents plus the neighboring farm

Netherlands. Stamboek - Gen. IV, 2, Page 2. He was from the Mennonite Church. From Melkema. The Stamboek says Lippe's wife's

name is Trijntje Jans. In March 2006, I talked to Abel Huizinga again about this as earlier he had told me Lippe's wife's name was

Aechtie Jans. This is what he wrote to me, "When Martje Lippes got married her parents are named Lippe Sijerts and Aechtie Jans and

they are also parents of Jan & Jacob Lippes. They also had a daughter Geertje married to Luyrd Lues. This pair had 2 daughters. In

the Melkema book are some mistakes. If Lippe Syerts was married before to Trijntje Jans it is not proven. The possibility is there.

Anyway, Aechtie Jans is the mother of his 4 children." In April 2006 I received information from Sjouwke Nube and she had both

women as Lippe's wives along with these dates of birth, death, marriage. She also had the 4 children belonging to Aechtie Jans. I am

Abel Huizinga's book (#7 in the back) says that in 1818 the children received the land because on Jan. 20, 1818 Freerk Pieters

Huizinga (farmer in Baflo) and Tjaard Luitjes Wiersum (guardian and co-guardian of the 4 children) appeared before Mr.

Hendrik van Bolhuis, public notary of Winsum. He and his siblings took on the name of Huizinga, for reason unknown. It is

possible that they took that name from the woman's line (#17 in back of Abel's book). Their farm was large - 78.75 acres. In

Abel Huizinga's book #17 Page 14. Al Geurink writes that in 1811 Hendrik bought the Saaxumhuizen farm # 69a of his

parents plus the neighboring farm # 69. On Jan. 20, 1818, he sold both farms to the farmer's couple Meindert Berents Wieringa

guardian Tjaard Luitjes Wiersum of the four underaged children of the deceased Hinkrik Pieters Huizinga and the deceased
